TOP 5 BEST PLACES FOR CITYSCAPES IN NEW YORK CITY

New York City… aka The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps, Concrete Jungle. Whatever you want to call it works but for photographers- NYC is the worlds mecca of epic cityscapes. Whether it be from your cab window, crossing a bustling street, on a rooftop at dusk, or from a cafe window- the city offers endless opportunities to capture something brilliant. Here are top 5 picks for the best places to capture that NYC magic.

#1. Brooklyn Bridge- Sometimes waking up before the crowds to capture that perfect crisp morning light is worth it in a city like NYC. It’s a fantastic place to drag your tripod along to as well to capture movement of cars and pedestrians.

#2. The Rock- I would highly recommend going here toward sunset. You have 360 degree panoramic views and can even overlook central park. There is nothing better than watching the twinkling city lights start to turn on after the sun goes down.

#3 Pebble Beach- Again, my favorite time to head here is at sunset because the lights of the city begin to shimmer on the water. It’s the perfect place to bring a picnic and hang out for a while with your camera.

#4: The Highline- A great place for an afternoon stroll. The newly built pathway had gorgeous views and plenty of NYC street art. Plenty of places to eat, shop, and enjoy the city life.

#5 Rooftops in Chelsea- If you’re planning a trip to NYC, I would suggest looking into Airbnb’s with rooftops in this neighborhood. It has some of my favorite views of the whole city at any time of the day.
