Let’s forget the temperature on the thermometer, we are but a few weeks from the wedding season! How are your wedding and perhaps pre-wedding plans coming along? Have you already booked the one person who will immortalise this one beautiful day in your life? Of course I mean a photographer! And if you haven’t yet, here are a couple of guide lines to help you with your choice.
WHERE TO LOOK FOR A
PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
When you find pictures that appeal to you, read the Photographer’s synopsis; many write about their own personality, their hobbies, and their passion. Find one you feel in tune with through pictures and words, and give that photographer a call. Some may have to travel to come to you but you will find it well worth the extra buck.
HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER
So search websites
galleries for your favourite shots but make sure you also search for the “soul”
of the artist, make a call, an appointment, talk about what matters to you, then
book your date of your photographer’s calendar and let him/her seize for you
the magic of your day.
You can still walk down the
street and visit a studio, and make arrangements there, or search the internet
for a photographer whose work will catch your eye and your fancy. Yes,
your wedding is your dream day and the marvellous thing about the internet and
specialised websites such as SNAPSQUAD is that you can take all the time
you need to look at portfolios and find the one that would most relate to your
dream and the memories of it you would like to keep and share with your loved
ones.
You want the pictures of
your wedding day to reflect your preparations, your looks, your joy and that of
your friends and family. On that day your photographer will be not only a
technical expert with a camera but, too, the one who will be able to express
your and your new spouse’s persona.
What kind of person are
you? Are you an urban person and why not a Steampunk fan? Are you a nature
lover? Will your dog come along? Will the banquet be by a lakeside? Do you
fancy a “moonlight” portrait? Will you want black and white shots?
Are you the cosy type of couple, or would you rather keep some crazy fun action
filled pictures? In a nutshell, what type of expert photography do you need?
